Professor Oluwadiya Kehinde Sunday is a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. He is also the immediate past provost of the College of Medicine of the University.Professor Oluwadiya is member of several academic and professional organizations both inside and outside Nigeria. These organizations include the Nigerian Medical Association, the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Orthopaedic Association, the Surgical Research Society of Nigeria, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM), Road Traffic International Research Network (RTIRN) and the International Co-operation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic Safety (ICTCT). He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.Professor Oluwadiya has been a part of several International collaborations including the CRASH I and II studies as a principal investigator. He is a beneficiary of the first World Health Organization MENTOR-VIP program in Trauma 2007 – 2008 and a collaborator with the SIGN Interlocking Nail project of Seattle WA, USA. Since 2011, he has been a member of the World Health Organization GIEESC Burden of Surgical Disease Committee.Prof Oluwadiya has ninety-two articles and three books in publication. He is also a past co-editor of the Western Nigerian Medical Journal and a reviewer for close to twenty journals around the world. Professor Olusegun Joseph Adebami is a Professor of Paediatrics and Neonatology.
A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife. A member of many local and international organizations: Member, Paediatrics Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Neonatal Medicine (NISONM), Medical and Dental Consultant association of Nigeria, Member African Neonatal network among others.
Fellow West African College of Physicians. External Examiner at many undergraduate Medical exams and Examiner at Membership and Fellowship Postgraduate Examination of West African Postgraduate College Medical Examinations. Attended several training programs, workshops and conferences including East Kent Hospitals University, Ashford, Kent, UK. He is former Head of department Paediatrics, Former, Chairman, Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo. Dr. Adeyemo M. O.
Dr Adeyemo was born more than 60 years in Osogbo, Osun state. Following her secondary school education in Osogbo grammar school Osun state, she proceeded to School of Nursing Eleyele Ibadan for her professional general Nursing training between 1978 and 1980. She was trained as a Midwife at School of Midwifery Ade-Oyo State Hospital Ibadan and obtained her first degree in Nursing in the premier university (University of Ibadan) in July 1985. In 1991, she went back to the university for her master degree programme in public health (Master of public health) to become Health Education specialist. Her interest in education pushed her forward to her alma mater for her PhD program in community health nursing which she completed in 2015.
Dr Adeyemo has served as a clinical nurse in many hospitals in old Oyo state and present Osun state. She also worked as nurse administrator in Osun state Ministry of Health from 1992 to 2006 and within this time (1995 – 1997) she was a Hospital Manager at Anisok Polyclinic, Anisok in Republic of Equatorial Guinea as a Member, Nigerian Technical Aid Corps of Federal Ministry of External Affair.
She was one time a part time lecturer in the state school of Nursing and LASU sandwich programme in College of Education Ilesha. She rose to the post of deputy director before transferring her service to LAUTECH Ogbomoso as lecturer in February 2007, she was there till 2017 when she joined Osun state university Osogbo.
Dr M. O. A. Adeyemo is currently a senior lecturer in Department of Nursing Science, Osun State University Osogbo and Ag head of the department since August 2018.
She has published 19 academic articles in reputable local and international journals, reviewed six papers for publication in reputable journals
Dr Adeyemo has presented academic papers and served as resource person in more than 18 conferences, workshops and seminars. She has also participated in more than 47 Conferences, seminars and workshops
She was Project Director, Osun State Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) HIV/AIDS Programme Development Project during which prevention of HIV/AIDS campaign were taken to nine communities in each of the political zones in Osun 2007 to 2009.
She is also a member, Board of trustee of Health committee of Muslim Ummah for South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Chairperson Osun state FOMWAN health committee and member FOMWAN orphanage committee.









Dr. Akinyemi O. A.
Dr. Mrs. AKINYEMI, Adenike Oyebola bagged the B. Sc (Hon’s) Degree (1997); M. Sc (Community Nutrition) ( 2000) and Ph. D Public health/Community Nutrition, 2019, all from the University of Ibadan. She is a Registered Dietitian (2008).
Her work history includes Dietetic Intern(UCH; 1997); Pioneer Head of Department of Dietetics, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo(2003); pioneer Head of Department of Dietetics LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso. She has attended several conferences and workshops where she presented well researched papers in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is a regular guest speaker on nutrition and health issues on radio, television and printed media. She has a number of published articles to her name in local and international journals.

Prof. ISAWUMI M.A.
Biosketch
Michaeline Asuquo ISAWUMI is a Professor of Ophthalmology. She obtained MBBCh in 1989 (University
of Calabar), MSc Community Eye Health in 2002 from University College London. She has been a
Consultant Ophthalmologist since 2003 and started an academic carrier as a Lecturer since 2004. She
has held many academic positions as well as hold positions in national professional bodies. She has been
Head of department across 2 Universities (LAUTECH Osogbo and Osun State University) since 2007.
Acting Dean across 2 Faculties ( Basic Medical Sciences, and Clinical Sciences, since 2013). She is the
immediate past Acting Provost and the current Dean of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences,
Osun State University.
She belongs to many professional bodies both nationally and internationally and has also attended
many national and international conferences and workshops with papers presented.

Dr Eziyi A.K.
Dr Eziyi Amogu Kalu is an associate professor of Urological Surgery at the Osun State
University, Osogbo. He is also the former Head of department of Surgery UniOsun
Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
Dr Eziyi is member of several academic and professional organizations both inside and
outside Nigeria. These organizations include the Nigerian Medical Association, the
Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Association of
Urological Surgeons, the Surgical Research Society of Nigeria, etc.
He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons
Dr Eziyi has forty-five published articles in reputable journals. He is also a reviewer to
different journals including African Journal of Urology.

Dr. Olowe R. A.
Dr Rita Olowe is the secretary of the editorial board of the Western Nigeria Journal of Medical Sciences. She holds a PhD in Medical Parasitology. She is a senior research officer at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Osun State. She is also an associate lecturer at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, College of Health Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.Dr. Olowe has attended several local and international conferences and won several awards including the global health travel awards from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to attend the keystone symposium on Mechanisms of HIV Persistence: implications for a cure, in Boston Massachusetts, USA (2015).Dr. Olowe has authored/co-authored several articles both in national and international journals. Most of her works are centred around molecular genetics of parasitic infections.
She is a reviewer to UNIOSUN Teaching hospital Ethics Review Committee.
She is happily married with children and loves making sound innovative discoveries, meeting new people and impacting knowledge as well as sharing useful experiences.

Prof. Olusola A.O.
A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in whichAProf. Olusola Adetunji Oyedeji was born into the christian family of Prof & Mrs. G.A Oyedeji at
UCH Ibadan. His dad is a retired Professor of Paediatrics who worked with the Obafemi
Awolowo University and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in his early
years of retirement, while the mum was a retired school principal.
Prof. Olusola Oyedeji attended; International School, Bodija Ibadan, Liderdale primary school,
Liverpool and Staff School, University of Ife between 1975 and 1981 for his basic primary
school education. His Secondary School education was at Moremi High School University of Ife
between 1981 and 1986. Subsequently, he was admitted to study medicine at University of Ife,
now Obafemi Awolowo University between 1986 and the year 1992, where he graduated with
the bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B), honours degree.
Thereafter, he proceeded to do the one-year National Youth Service assignment at the Baptist
Hospital as a Medical Officer, after which he took up an employment as a Medical Officer at
Express Hospital Ibadan between 1993 and 1995.
Prof. Olusola Oyedeji commenced his residency training at the Wesley Guild Hospital, branch of
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile Ife in the department of
Paediatrics in 1996 and completed the residency in the same institution in October 2004,
obtaining the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in the Faculty of Paediatrics
[FWACP (Paed) ]The part I examination was challenging however, he passed the primary
examination and part II oral at first attempt while he needed to re-present the dissertation/ book
for correction.
On completion of the residency training Prof. Oyedeji joined the services of the Osun State
Hospital Management Board working with the State Specialist Hospital Osogbo as a Consultant
Paediatrician for 1 year in the year 2004, after which he resigned and took up an appointment
with Ladoke Akintola University of Technology as lecturer 1 in the department of Paediatrics
Ogbomosho in the year 2005. By virtue of his appointment as a lecturer at Ladoke Akintola
University, he was appointed as a honorary Consultant Paediatrican with the Ladoke Akintola
University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, now UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital,
Osogbo.In pursuit of further knowledge and mastery in research and Paediatrics, Prof. Olusola Oyedeji
completed further training by the University of Liverpool’s School of Tropical Medicine and
obtained the Masters in Tropical Paediatrics [M.Sc Trop Paed]. In the year 2011.
Career wise, at the Ladoke Akintola University, Prof. Oyedeji rose from lecturer 1 to the
Professorial cadre in the department of Paediatrics and Child Health at Ladoke Akintola
University of Technology, Ogbomoso. His promotion to the post of Professor was announced in
April 2021 and backdated to October 2014.
Prof. Oyedeji has a number of sub-specialty interests. He is majorly interested in Paediatric
infections. Other areas of interest include paediatric dermatology and allergeollorgy. He has
more than 70 publications in local and international journals. Currently, he has some on-going
research studies in HIV infected children and some planned endocrinology studies for children
with severe malaria.
Prof. Oyedeji has had the privilege of working out of Nigeria on a couple of occasions He
worked as a senior house officer at South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland
between 2006 and 2007 during which he received the Mabrouk prize as the best doctor at
presentations.
He also worked as a specialty doctor in Paediatrics at Pilgrim Hospital, Linconshire, Boston,
United Kingdom between 2018 and 2020, while he was on sabbatical and accumulated leaves
from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and Teaching Hospital.
Prof. Oyedeji enjoys teaching and interacting with medical students and resident doctors and his
teachings are well received. His hobbies include taking walks, watching films, travelling and
playing football. He is happily married and blessed with three children.
Prof. Oyedeji is a Christian and a God lover who acknowledges that without God he would be
nobody. When he was between the ages of 5 and 10 years, he remembered replying anybody
who asked him what he wanted to become in future that he would like to be a sailor. Well, that
small boy then is now a grown-up man who has found grace of God and grace has spoken for

Dr Obembe O.O.
Dr Obembe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiology, Osun State University. He
completed B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Human Physiology (2003) in University of Ilorin, M.Sc.
Physiology in 2007 and Ph.D (Reproductive Physiology) in 2014 from the University of Ibadan.
He has authored several articles in peer reviewed journals and presented scientific papers at
several Local and International Conferences. He is a recipient of several honors and awards
including Eme E. Osim prize for the most Outstanding Research Output at the 33 rd Scientific
conference of the Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN, 2014), UNIOUSUN ETF/TETFUND
PhD Research Grant (2011-2014), IUPS Travel Grants amongst others. He is a member of The
British Physiological Society and Physiological Society of Nigeria.
Dr Obembe teaches Physiology in the College of Health Sciences of the University. He is a
member of the Faculty Academic Board, Faculty Research Committee, Faculty Review Panel
amongst others. He also partakes in supervision of Undergraduate Students’ Projects. He is an
active member of the Reproductive Research group in the Department and actively involved in
students’ counseling.
His research interest includes: The role of dietary constituents on fetal programming and role of
diet, food additives and natural products of plant origin on the Physiology of Sperm and
Epididymal Proteins. His research achievement includes elucidating the molecular mechanisms
underlying spermatoxicity of some medicinal plants and mechanism(s) of action of some plant
products on male reproductive physiology.

Dr. Olugbenga E.A.
Olugbenga Edward Ayodele obtained the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB;BS) degree
from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1991, and the Fellowship of the West African College of
Physicians (FWACP) in 2002 after completing his postgraduate medical training in Internal Medicine
and Nephrology at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. He received the Training Grant
Award by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) which afforded him the opportunity for
additional training in Nephrology at the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension, Groote Schuur
Hospital (GSH) /University of Cape Town (UCT) between March 2007 and March 2008. He was
trained in General Nephrology and Renal Transplantation and also underwent a six month course on
Research Methodology at UCT. He completed MPhil degree in Health Sciences Education at
Stellenbosch University in December 2019.
He joined Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 2003 as
Lecturer I and rose to become Professor of Medicine in 2011. He served as Head, Department
Medicine, LAUTECH, between October 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014 and Dean, Faculty of Clinical
Sciences from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2016. He has co-authored over 60 scholarly articles
in national and international journals on hypertension, acute and chronic kidney disease, diabetic
nephropathy, metabolic syndrome and lupus nephritis. He has served as a reviewer for more than 20
peer-reviewed national and international journals at various times. He serves as an Examiner to the
West African Postgraduate Medical College. He is a member of a number of professional bodies
including Nigerian Association of Nephrology, African Association of Nephrology, International
Society of Nephrology, and European Dialysis and Transplant Association/European Renal
Association (EDTA/ERA). He enjoys reading Christian and motivational books and watching football
in his spare time. He lives at Osogbo, Nigeria, with his wife and three children. He hopes to complete
a PhD in Health Sciences Education in the future. His lifetime ambition is to be an accomplished
clinician, researcher, medical teacher and a good role model for upcoming generations of health
professionals.
